Mary P. Grahn

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary P Grahn on March 6, 2025. She went peacefully at home surrounded by her family. 

Mary was married to the love of her life, David V Grahn for 67 years, who predeceased her in 2015. She enjoyed their time spent in Bala Cynwyd, Ocean City, NJ and then finally Hershey’s Mill in West Chester, PA. She was survived by 6 children, Mary Grahn (John), Patty Snell, Joan Dilling, David Grahn, Nancy Dalton (Jay), and Hank Grahn ( Therese) ,12 grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. 

Mary raised her family in Bala Cynwyd where she and Dave were active members in St. Matthias Parrish. Mary's true love were the summers she spent raising her family in Ocean City NJ. All the summers were spent enjoying the beautiful view from her dock on 17th street.  The water was her childrens front yard where they enjoyed swimming, boating and fishing. Night in Venice boat parade was the highlight of every summer and she and Dave hosted friends and family each year.

Mary was a parishioner at Saint Peter and Paul Church where she attended services every Sunday. She was living at Hershey’s Mill where she was a member of the Hershey’s Mill Golf Club.  She enjoyed playing bridge, going to happy hours and singing with friends. She also belonged to the Players, where she wrote, acted and sang in the skits they performed. Mary has been an entertainer since the day she was born.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday March 29, 2025 from 9:30-10:45 am at the SS. Peter & Paul Church 1325 Boot Road West Chester, PA followed by her Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers Mary would like donations to be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, a charity that was very close to her heart.
