Obituary

Mary Alice Fisher, 62 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Thursday May 16, 2024, at The Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia after complications from liver and kidney disease. Her loving husband Scott was by her side.

Born February 4, 1962, in West Chester, PA, she was the eldest daughter of the late Clarence Thomas Glass, Jr and the late Julia F. Bridge Glass.

Mary Alice was born and raised in West Chester and graduated from East High School in 1980.

Mary Alice and Scott were married for 34 years.

She worked as a shipping and receiving specialist for Quadratech and prior to that she was employed by Amazon.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, regifting, gardening, cooking, grilling, telling stories, camping, and rescuing cats.

In addition to her husband Scott, she is survived by her siblings Thomas E. (Donna) of Newark, DE, Suzanne M. Tronco (Henry) of Springfield, PA,  Daniel G. (Barb) of Coatesville, PA,  Christine M. Panzram (the late Jeffrey K.) of Tampa FL,  Paul M. (Lara Saxton) of Kennett Square, PA; Her sister-in-law, Susan Day (Gary) of West Chester; 14 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. Her aunts and uncles: Constance B. Short (late James O. Lumpee) of Albuquerque, NM, Robert E. Bridge (Genevieve), West Chester, James B. Bridge (Helene) Fort Gratiot, MI, Mary M. Hlywak (Ron) Wilmington, DE Jean-Marie Bridge, Albuquerque, NM, William Martines (Marty) Justis IV., Greenwood, IN.  Mary Alice had 18 immediate cousins.

Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Tom, and Julie. Her father-in-law, John Charles and mother-in-law, Edna Jean Fisher of West Chester Grandparents: Edward B. and Helen M. Bridge of West Chester Clarence T. Glass (Mope) Sr. and Maude Brown Glass of Cresson, PA Aunts and Uncles: Helen (Cathy) and John J. Yankech, Charlotte NC Madeline P. “Mat” Justis of Greenwood, IN Joyce Anne (Glass) and Robert Sweet, Salisbury, MD William F. “Beansy” Hamilton, Scottsboro, AL

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 10:00-10:45am at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith and Boyd funeral home, Inc. at 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380 610-696-1181  www.DellaFH.com followed by her Funeral Service at 11am. 

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
