Mary Nescio

Mary Nescio, 96, of West Chester, passed away on September 17, 2023.

She was the wife of the late John J. Nescio for 69 years.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lucy Grillo.

Mary was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church in West Chester and proud matriarch of the Nescio family.

She was a cafeteria worker, homemaker, and restaurant owner of Giovanni’s in West Chester.

Mary loved sharing her passion for cooking and baking with family and friends and found great joy in entertaining her loved ones.

She is survived by son John Nescio Jr. (Dianna), daughter Lucy Poole (Robert), daughter-in-law Diane Nescio, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Peggy Nescio and Ardith Grillo and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband John J. Nescio, son Joseph S. Nescio, brother Joseph Grillo, and brother-in-law Albert Nescio.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at SS. Peter & Paul Church 1325 E. Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 am.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
