Mary C. Miller, 91, of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, March 22, 2021.
Born in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Raymond Connolly and the late Esther Whiteford Connolly. Mary follows her husband David Miller into rest.
After graduating Towson College Mary was a teacher and receptionist until marrying David, after which she had a successful career as a homemaker.
Mary was for many years a volunteer teacher's aide at local elementary and middle schools, and was active in the Fern Hill Retired Teachers Association and the West Chester Music Club.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester, where she had been involved over the years as a deacon, elder, Sunday School teacher and pianist, and in other roles.
She lived happily and comfortably in her home on Elstone Drive in Glen Mills for over 60 years. She took joy in being with friends and family at the house and pool, enjoying good company, conversation and food. She enjoyed baking cookies, cakes and pies for holidays and birthdays, making strawberry and blackberry jam and sharing it with others, and watching the birds at her birdfeeders.
Mary is survived and will be deeply missed by her three sons and their wives, nine grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held 9:30 am - 10:30 am followed at 10:30am by a Memorial Service on Friday, April 9, 2021 at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith and Boyd Funeral Home, 410 N. Church St., West Chester, PA. Due to Covid restrictions, service is limited to family and invited close friends.
Visitation will be held 9:30 am - 10:30 am, that Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester, PA
