Mary E. Cosgriff Morrell

Mary E. Cosgriff Morrell, 88 of New Holland, PA since 2008 and formerly of West Chester, PA passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at her home.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Anthony M Morrell with whom she shared 44 years of marriage until the time of his passing in July 2010.

Born in West Chester, PA on May 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Marie E. Coveney Cosgriff.

Mary graduated from St. Agnes High School in West Chester, PA, class of 1956 and Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware, class of l958 with an associate’s degree in medical secretarial science. She was employed by Charles W. Korbonits, M.D. FACOG and also by Carl J. Luchetti, DMD both in West Chester, PA.

She was a founding member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Westtown, PA. and was a member of St. Benedict's Parish in Mohnton, PA when she relocated to New Holland, PA.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by their son, Andrew Michael Morrell in 1992; step-son, Anthony N. Morrell Sr. and step-granddaughter, Kimberly Zvonkovich. Mary is survived by stepdaughter, Kathleen Rice; step-grandson, Anthony N. Morrell, Jr.; four step-great grandchildren; brother, William A. Cosgriff, Jr., and two nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 11:00 am St. Benedict Church 2020 Chestnut Hill Road Mohnton, PA 19540.     

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Benevolent Fund of Garden Spot Village, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, Pa. 17557 would be appreciated.
