Mary Baldwin Beamesderfer

Mary Baldwin Beamesderfer, 80, of West Chester, PA passed away Wednesday August 13, 2025 at Pocopson Home in West Chester. Born July 15, 1945 in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late George Barney Baldwin and the late Mary Elizabeth Hipple Baldwin.

Mary grew up in West Chester and graduated from Henderson High School.

She worked in accounting for much of her career. She spent the last part of her career working at Kaly women’s store in West Chester in both sales and bookkeeping. She was a volunteer at the Woman’s Exchange later in life, and had spent many years volunteering at Devereaux – which she valued as one of the most rewarding and enjoyable things she had ever done. She enjoyed walking throughout the town to visit her favorite stores, talk to people, and simply take in the sights.  

Mary is survived by her son, Bill Jefferis, her daughter Mary Jefferis, her grandson Will Jefferis, and her sister Catherine Baldwin Scott.

Services and interment will be private. A private day of remembrance will be held at a later date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA of West Chester in her name. She had a lifelong fondness of all things furry, but especially her beloved cats.
