Martin Johnson Obituary

Martin Richard Johnson of West Chester.

Martin Richard Johnson, 74 of West Chester, PA died Thursday May 21, 2020 at his residence in West Chester.

He was the husband of Marianne Savannah Johnson of 55 year.

Born June 30, 1945 in West Chester, PA he was the son of the late Leslie M. Johnson and the late Marian Mae Richards Johnson.

Marty Johnson loved his family and spending time outdoors in his yard, fixing small engines, mowers and feeding the many birds who came to his bird feeders. He was a proficient left-handed pool player who would offer to teach you the game if you were interested. He loved golf but was not good at it. In his earlier years he loved bike riding, plowing snow, and helping others. He followed the Eagles football team with at times frustration and the Phillies baseball team also, with frustration.

He will be missed by all who know him in the Greenhill neighborhood that was his home for most of his life.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Scott M. Johnson, daughter Jo Ann Johnson, sister Marian Reeser, brother Leslie Johnson, Cousin Joan Chandler and many additional cousins' nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be private.
