Marie Rowand

Marie Rowand, 90 of West Chester, PA, passed away Tuesday April 14, 2026 at her home.

She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Rowand.

Born February 7, 1936 in Paulsboro, NJ she was the daughter of the late Andrew Skechak and the late Camilla Dentino Skechak.

Marie grew up in Paulsboro and graduated from Paulsboro High School.

Marie worked for Mobil as an executive secretary in her younger years and then later she owned and operated Stepping Out Shoe store in West Windsor NJ.

Marie enjoyed oil painting specifically still life and landscapes.

She is survived by her daughter, Amey Lynn Rowand-Fischer her husband Joel and their children Craig and Andrea, and her grandson Heath Scholl

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas and her daughter Christina 

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 11:00 am - 11:30 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 am.

Interment will be in Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery West Chester, PA.
