Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” F. Bruno, 96 years old of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Samuel N. Bruno.

Born July 13, 1928 in Lenni, PA she was the daughter of the late Michael F. Meehan and the late Anna C. Balzaretti Meehan.

Margaret grew up in Lenni and attended Media High School. She was a dedicated member of St. Agnes parish.

She enjoyed cooking, making “platters,” and baking delicious desserts.  She was always in her kitchen either preparing meals, entertaining guests, hosting parties, or returning her kitchen to it’s more than immaculate condition. No one ever left her house empty-handed. More than anything, she loved her family, especially her sons, daughter, and grandchildren. She would spend countless hours talking with them on the phone or in her home. She was one of the funniest and quickest-witted people you could have ever met and truly brightened the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha A Jamerson, sisters, Rita Hannum, Gloria Giordano and Louise Furey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands John H. Tipton, and Samuel N. Bruno; sons, John M. Tipton, and Jeffrey J. Tipton; and sisters, Donalda Collins, Elizabeth Loveland, Catherine Eissler, Frances Dolceamore, Helen Limpas and Anna Marie Zitarelli.
