Luz Milagro Rivera Bernard of West Chester
Luz (aka Millie) went home to rest with Jesus on November 11, 2020 at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Born and raised in Adjuntas, PR to Elizabeth Pacheco and Juan Bernard she was the youngest of 11 siblings with Frank Bernard being her last surviving brother. In 1968 Luz came to settle in West Chester Pennsylvania where she met her late husband of 33 years Juan F Rivera.
Of that union she is survived by her son Alex Rivera and his wife Dana, her daughters Lynn Rivera and Melissa Rivera and her stepchildren Juan Carlos Rivera, the late Evelyn Rivera, Lisette Rivera, and Annette Rivera. She is survived by her grandchildren Ryan, Annabel, Jake, AmandaLyn, Nicolas, Kayla, Morrie, Angie and Trinity. Also added to the surviving immediate family, we must acknowledge our honorary sister, mom’s home house aid Maria.
Luz was an active member of Saint Agnes Parish, she worked for Wyeth Labs for 25 years and dedicated her personal time running the corner bodega store with her husband. She enjoyed dancing, taking simple car rides, and most importantly spending time with her family.
Services and Interment will be private.
