Louise B. DeCurtis, 77, of West Chester, PA, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the Pocopson Home.
She was the wife of Francis Anthony DeCurtis.
Born on January 30, 1947, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Murray Franklin Barnhart and Margaret Jane Nygren Barnhart.
Louise grew up in West Pittston, PA and graduated from West Pittston High School.
She often reminisced about her deep passion for swimming and horseback riding—treasures from her past that brought her immense joy. Devoted to her husband and family, Christmas held a special place in her heart. She cherished the season’s magic, delighting in the beauty of freshly fallen snow and twinkling lights. Most importantly, she had a talent for baking cookies that were simply perfect. An avid reader, she loved immersing herself in mystery, romance, and fantasy novels, and she enjoyed crime shows—provided they weren’t too gory. With a remarkable eye for art, she found inspiration in creativity, and she loved listening to her favorite albums, allowing the music to fill her life with joy.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Christine Elizabeth DeCurtis, son, David Scott DeCurtis, and grandchildren, Anthony, Rachel, and Andrew.
Services and Interment will be private at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com
