Lorraine Petrucci Langan

Lorraine Petrucci Langan, 87 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at her home in Signal Hill, CA.  Her husband, Thomas J. Langan, Sr., preceded her in death.

Born November 8, 1931 in New Garden Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Petrucci and the late Esther Acciari Petrucci, both Italian immigrants.  Lorraine was a graduate of Kennett Square High School.

Lorraine worked 10 years for DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware in the accounting department.  Once married, she became a devoted wife and mother.  Later in life she worked at Henderson High School in the school cafeteria.  She was a member of St. Agnes Church in West Chester, PA and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1333 of West Chester. 

Lorraine enjoyed many hobbies such as painting, crafting and pottery.  She loved being a grandmother and adored her grandchildren.  She was a strong advocate of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.   Lorraine loved California and it was her dream to live there and although it was at the end of her life, she died peacefully in a place where she always wanted to be.  

Lorraine is survived by her sons, Thomas J. Langan, Jr. of Signal Hill, CA; David M. Langan (Wendi) of Glen Mills; grandchildren, Justin & Amanda.  

In addition to her husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by her four brothers, Jimmy, Armond, Albert and Richard.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Friday October 11, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St., West Chester, PA; followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
