Obituary

L. Rodman “Rip” Page III, 80, of Bryn Mawr, PA, passed away peacefully at his home at Beaumont on November 26, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born in Lower Merion and raised in Radnor, he was the son of the late L. Rodman Page Jr. and Shelia Clark Page. Rip graduated from The Haverford School, St. George’s Academy, and Cornell University.

He served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969, achieving the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. Rip worked in naval aviation during the Vietnam era, stationed at Naval Air Station Cecil Field in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a proud member of Attack Squadron 36 (“Roadrunners”), a celebrated A-4 Skyhawk squadron, and deployed aboard the USS Intrepid, one of the Navy’s most iconic aircraft carriers. He continued his service in the Naval Reserve until 1972 and was honorably discharged.

Rip spent his early career in hotel and restaurant management before retiring as vice president of facilities for Janney Montgomery Scott. A dedicated and civic-minded member of his community, he volunteered as treasurer of the Wayne Public Safety Association and served avidly as a Republican committeeman for Radnor Township. Rip enjoyed playing golf, riding his motorcycle and Austin-Healey, cheering for Philadelphia sports and spending time with his wife and family.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Davies Page; his sister, Pamela Page; his children, Katherine (Ronald) Krisko, Elizabeth (Damian) DellaVecchia, and L. Rodman Page IV; and his four grandchildren, Damian DellaVecchia Jr., Andrew DellaVecchia, Caroline Krisko, and John Krisko.
