Kenneth A. Sullivan, 61 of Chadds Ford, PA passed away Friday August 11th, 2023.
He was the loving husband of Beth Ann (Bucker) Sullivan.
Born November 10, 1961 in Cleveland, OH, he was the loving son of the late Lawrence Sullivan and Catherine Sullivan.
In addition to his wife and mom, he is survived by his son, Kenneth Lawrence (Julia) Sullivan, daughter, Megan Caitlin Sullivan, daughter, Erin Kay Sullivan, son, Steven Alex Sullivan; grandson, John Kenneth Sullivan; sister, Maura (Tom) Ventura, sister, Linda Cabral, and sister, Nancy (Tom) Sullivan Graf. Special mention is given to the Akers family, Steve Murray, and his care team at Penn Medicine and Jefferson Health.
Kenneth grew up in Ohio and graduated from Lake Catholic High School (1980) and Kent State University (1984). Kenneth worked as Vice President of Sales and Director of External Relations for DePuy Synthes, with countless awards and achievements. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church of West Chester, PA.
He gave everything he had to his family and job. All of his energies and soul were devoted to making sure he surpassed the enormously high expectations he set forth, for himself, so others could flourish from his extraordinary contributions. He believed the bar could never be set too high, and those around him became better people for it. He never put himself first, because his mission was to care for those he loved. His magnetism was captivating, and he made each individual feel recognized and important. His unwavering integrity, loyalty, truthfulness, humor, and perseverance carried him through life. Each day to him was a chance to become better than the day before, through approaching and conquering challenges, with grace, dignity, and enthusiasm. He considered building relationships as the foundation of life, which led to ultimate life fulfillment; driven by steadfast and righteous character. His family and friendships were his invaluable treasures, and his boundless joy for life spilled over into the hearts of those he met.
His legacy will live on with his children and the people’s lives he touched as he watches over them in his new journey from beyond.
Relatives and friends are invited to join us for a graveside service Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, 1235 Birmingham Rd., West Chester, PA 19382 where our beloved Ken Sullivan will be laid to rest.
A celebration of life reception will follow beginning at 12:30pm at the Chadds Ford Tavern, 1400 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vickie and Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience with designation for “brain tumor research and education” with additional notes to specify “In memory of Kenneth A. Sullivan”
