Kathleen Marie Mitchell

Kathleen Marie Mitchell (nee Murray), age 87 of West Chester, PA (formally of Philadelphia, PA), died peacefully on April 2nd, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Kathleen is survived by four daughters, Kathleen Henry (Michael), Peg Creighton (Chuck), Trish Stearns (Matt) and Bernadette O’Neill (John) and twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents Bill and Kitty (Brooks) and her brother, Tom Murray.

Kathleen Marie was born on January 22,1937 in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia in 1954. Her life was centered around her Catholic faith and her family. She was a daughter, friend, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother (Mom Mom) and great-grandmother (Mom Mom Muff). Kathleen never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family. She really enjoyed attending the many school and sporting events for her children and grandchildren. She was always her family’s biggest fan. Kathleen lived her life full of kindness and grace.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation Friday, April 12th from 9:30 – 10:45 AM at St. Agnes Church, 233 W Gay St, West Chester, PA 19380, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow at the Saint Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
