Kathleen F. Lauber

Kathleen F. Lauber, 83 of West Chester, PA passed away on Tuesday June 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was lifted up to Heaven with their words of love, gratitude and comfort.

She was the beloved wife of John “Jack” J. Lauber with whom she shared 57 blessed years.

Born August 11, 1938 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late James E. Fitzgerald and the late Elizabeth H. McGuigan Fitzgerald.

She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Malvern and had an unshakable faith in God. Kathleen will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and doting grandmother. Her grandchildren brought immeasurable joy to her life and she loved being present for any school or extracurricular activity in which they participated. 

She enjoyed and was very good at cooking and baking. Kathy could often be found sitting at her kitchen table with Southern Living magazines around her, dog-earing pages of recipes she wanted to try out.  She loved her dog, Skipper who was a birthday present from her husband 8 years ago and was her faithful companion during all of her health struggles.  Kathy was a woman who enjoyed a good laugh and once she got going, it was hard to stop her!  Her laugh was contagious and if she started, all those around would soon be joining in!

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children:  John Lauber and his wife Denise, Ellen Lauber, Claire Hackett and her husband Laurence, grandchildren: Madeline, Jacob, Caroline, Ian and Patrick. She is also survived by her brother, J. Kevin Fitzgerald and sister, Maureen Gould and many beloved niece and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 10 - 10:45 am at the St. Patrick Church, 104 Channing Ave, Malvern, PA 19355, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
