Kathleen “Kathy” Meade, 85 of Downingtown, PA passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the St. Martha Manor in Downingtown after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Born September 30, 1940, in Darby, PA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel McDevitt and the late Elizabeth Noughton McDevitt.
Kathy grew up in Lansdowne and Broomall and graduated from Rosemont College. She worked for many years as the general manager of County Lines magazine before retirement. She enjoyed reading, watching classic movies, and visiting new restaurants. She loved horses and enjoyed attending the Devon Horse Show.
She is survived by her brother, Charles F. McDevitt and two nephews John and Doug McDevitt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Elizabeth McDevitt.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Saturday, August 29, at 10:30 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester PA 19380. Interment will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Catholic Church or toward Parkinson’s research.
