Judy Ann Walsh, 72 of Albrightsville, PA passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, in St. Petersburg, FL. She was the wife of the late Richard Lawrence Walsh.
Born December 14, 1952, in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late John Preston and the late Christine Ella Roberts Preston. She grew up in Exton, graduated from Henderson High School, and earned her bachelor’s degree from West Chester University.
Judy worked as a website specialist for the Chester County Library in Exton, PA, for 22 years. She was a member of Grove Methodist Church and later joined SS. Philip and James Parish in Exton, where her five children went to school. Judy loved volunteering at the Great Valley Nature Center, Main Line Animal Rescue, Long Pond Preserve, and most recently the Carbon County Environmental Education Center and Penn Kidder Library.
In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating and bowling. She continued to play volleyball throughout her life, even playing a game on her final day. She was a talented artist with a passion for painting nature and water scenes. She loved to challenge herself creatively, taking classes and looking for new ways to explore her artistic talent. She was a kindhearted snowbird, traveling to Florida every winter with her beloved dog, Sweety Pie, to enjoy the warmth. Judy also loved motorcycle riding with her late husband, kayaking, playing bingo, traveling, and simply cherishing quality time with family and friends.
Judy is survived by her children, Brian Christopher Walsh, Sharon Ann DiSanto (Dan), Michele Lynn Walsh-Auter (Simon), Melissa Mae Hohenberger (Jon) and Christiana Hart Norris (John); grandchildren, Alex, Evan, Samuel, Myles, Joelle, Lauren, Landon, John and Evie; and brother, John Alvin Preston. She is also survived by her beloved dog and travel buddy, Sweety Pie.
Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Grove Methodist Cemetery West Chester PA.
