Judith A. Myers, age 87, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Barclay Friends in West Chester.
Born on September 20, 1937 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She was the beloved wife of the late William Warfield Myers. Judith was the daughter of the late Elwyn P. Tomlinson and the late Sara Guiney Tomlinson, and sister of the late Elwyn Blake Tomlinson.
Judith grew up in West Chester and graduated from West Chester High School (now Henderson High School) before earning her degree from West Chester State Teachers College. She went on to teach second grade at Culbertson Elementary School in Newtown Square, PA
Judith and her husband lived in Evanston, IL, where they welcomed their first two children, Blake and Stacey. After returning to West Chester, they welcomed their third child, Randall. The family later lived in New Providence, NJ, and Atlanta, GA, before settling once again in Newtown Square, PA.
An active and vibrant woman, Judith was an avid tennis player and later enjoyed paddle tennis. She also enjoyed golf and bridge and spending time with friends at Overbrook Golf Club. Summers in Avalon, NJ, were a cherished tradition for Judith and her family, filled with sunshine and lasting memories.
Judith is survived by her sons William Blake Myers (Regina), Randall C. Myers (Tina) and daughter, Stacey Shirley (Tom), 8 grandchildren, Blake (Kaitlin), Hunter and Chase (Kelly) Campbell, Hailey, Bo and Olivia Myers, Brooke and John Myers and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and other dear family members.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday May 29th 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380. Please join us for a graveside service at 12:00 PM at the Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester, PA. A luncheon will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Main Line Animal Rescue, an organization dear to Judith’s heart.
