Judith H. Haggerty

Judith H. Haggerty, of Coatesville, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Paoli Hospital with her family by her side. She was 77.

Born February 9, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA, Judy was the daughter of the late Norton J. Ryne and the late Helen Winters Ryne. She grew up in Drexel Hill, PA and graduated from Upper Darby High School. 

Judy retired from Camilla Hall Nursing Home, having worked there for 45 years, with 35 years in nursing and the last 10 years as front end receptionist. Many friends were made throughout her time here.

Judy enjoyed playing bingo and other games on her electronic devices after retirement. She also enjoyed watching Family Feud and many other TV shows, but playing with her dog, Soda, was the highlight of the day. Judy loved fishing, especially with her grandsons and some of the IHM Sisters, many who have been lifelong friends. Fishing trips to Jim Thorpe with her friends are memories Judy cherished and often spoke about, along with her adventures at Camilla Hall. She had the honor of meeting Mother Teresa while working a momentous night shift there. 

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Santana (Frank) Greco; grandchildren, Raymond (Jenn), Izaiah and Michael; great grandchildren, Cayden and Julianna; cousin, Linda Nagle; brother, Norton Ryne, Jr.; and additional family member, Raymond Sr. (Angela).

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at St. Joseph Church, 322 Manor Ave. Downingtown, PA 19335; followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brandywine Valley SPCA and/or Camilla Hall, Memorial Gift, for the Recreation Dept. to benefit the IHM Sisters
