Official Obituary of

Josephine T. "Honey" Wilson

February 1, 1923 ~ December 19, 2024 (age 101) 101 Years Old

Obituary

Born on February 1, 1923 to Vito and Josephine (Sanullo) Lauritano in Phoenixville PA. The youngest child, called "Honey" by everyone, she was predeceased by her parents and siblings:  Domenic, Vito, Mary, Madeline and infant sister Stella. Passed from this life at 101 years on December 19th, West Chester PA.

Honey married Paul "Sonny" Wilson, Jr. on July 18, 1942 and prior to his death in 2003 they celebrated 61 years of marriage. They lived in West Chester and West Goshen prior to retiring to Indiantown FL to play golf.

Given a set of golf clubs and lessons by Sonny, Honey never looked back. When not working as an orthodontic assistant to Dr. Martin Goldberg she was either playing or watching golf. She always played to win. She played first at Penn Oaks Country Club where she and Sonny were charter members and then at Indianwood Golf & Country Club in Florida. A member of the Women's Golf Assn. of Philadelphia, playing for Penn Oaks, she left her family with many trophies, including a certificate for her hole-in-one at Indianwood. Her greatest joys were to play golf with her grandson, Nicholas and watch Tiger Woods.

Honey burned every pancake she made, but her spaghetti and meatballs were the stuff of legend. She couldn't resist a lemon Tastykake.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Scott), grandson Nicholas (Ryan) and great grandchildren Sophia, Ava and Miles and nieces and nephews.

A mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church, West Chester on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00am. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested to your local Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Pocopson, Jones 4, for their excellent care and to Penn Medicine Hospice.
