Joseph Francis Sullivan, Jr.

Joseph Francis Sullivan, 84 of Elverson, PA passed away Sunday February 16, 2025 at Penn State Health Center St. Joseph's Medical Center in Reading.

He was the husband of Faye Care Sullivan.

Born January 5, 1941, in West Chester, PA he was the son of the late Joseph Francis Sullivan Sr. and the late Beatrice Guthrie Sullivan.

Joe grew up in West Chester, PA and graduated from Bishop Shanahan High School. He then attended Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, DE.

He served in the United States Navy.

He worked as a Superintendent of Highways for 25 years at PennDot.

Joe was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Elks, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Knight of Columbus, Member of Rajah Shriner, and Member of Saint Benedict Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Faye (Nizam Ali) Sullivan-Cool, daughter, Jo Anne Sullivan and granddaughter, Jo Anne Sullivan-Cool (Geddy Gehers).

He was preceded in death by brother, William Sullivan.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, followed by a Masonic Service at 7:30pm and Elks Service at 7:45pm. Relatives and friends are also invited to his visitation on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at St. Agnes Church 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA 19380; followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.

Interment will be in Elverson Methodist Cemetery Elverson, PA.
