Joseph Ciolino, 72 of Glen Mills, PA, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, in Richmond, Virginia.
He was the loving husband of Kellina “Kelli” Ciolino.
Born December 1, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Maria Ciolino and the late Rosario Ciolino.
Joe grew up in Long Island and went to high school in Hollywood, FL. He graduated from SUNY Oswego, where he was a member of and served as president of Phi Omicron Xi fraternity.
He worked for Hobart Corporation and Ryder Systems in the national sales arena and as executive and Vice President over the years. Throughout his time at Ryder, he won multiple national performance awards. He left Ryder to help found AmeriQuest Transportation and Logistics Services. He also did start-up companies.
Joe enjoyed archeology, history, historical artifacts, traveling with his family, loved talking with people, working with flowers, gardening, backyard birds and spending time with his family. Even had a Rose named after him. He loved being with his three grandsons. Joe embraced life.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Joey B. Ciolino, his grandchildren John, Ben, and James, his daughter-in-law Amanda Ciolino; and his siblings Salvatore Ciolino, Kathy Simmons, and Ann Sankewitsch.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Ciolino.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Friday May 3, 2024, at 11:00 am at the St. Agnes Church 233 West Gay Street West Chester, PA 19380. Interment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery.
