Jon F. Barrett

Jon F. Barrett, 87, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2024.

Born in Clifton Heights, PA on December 9, 1937, Jon graduated from West Catholic High School and went on to build a successful career at GE Aerospace, continuing through its merger with Lockheed Martin. Known for his quiet dedication and strong work ethic, Jon made many lasting connections throughout his career.

He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Julianna (Koszarek) Barrett; his daughter, Diana (Barrett) Poole; his grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Wyatt Poole; and his brothers, Byron and Sidney Barrett. Jon is preceded in death by his parents Ruth (Holstein) and Byron Barrett, and his sister Louise (Barrett) MacNamara.

One of Jon's greatest passions was golf. He loved spending time on the golf course, where he perfected his game and enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends and fellow golfers.  He also cherished spending time with his family and his many pets through the years. Jon was also an avid gardener and took great pride in taking care of the one-acre property at their home in West Chester where he and his wife lived for over 45 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday January 6, 2025, from 9:30-10:15 at the Saints Peter and Paul Church, 1325 E Boot Road in West Chester with Mass following at 10:30.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jon’s memory to The Annual Fund at Saints Peter and Paul School, 1327 Boot Road West Chester, PA 19380.
