John Richard McCormack, 91 of West Chester, died peacefully on Monday December 9, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of 64 years to Dolores Marie D'Agostino McCormack.

John grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Roman Catholic High School. He was an avid baseball and football player and was a member of a semi-professional football team after completing high school. John was a Sergeant in the Marine Corp from 1953 to 1956, serving in the fleet Marine Force 2nd Anglico. He worked as a shipping clerk for Colonial Electric for 27 years and always brought a smile to his customers’ faces due to his fun-loving and jovial personality. As a devout Catholic, John was a parishioner of SS. Simon & Jude Church for the 18 years that he lived in West Chester.
John always saw the good in everyone. What he enjoyed most in life was being surrounded by his family and friends, telling stories to entertain everyone, and laughing. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and made sure they knew that. Due to John’s love of people, he always volunteered to help out by coaching whatever activities his boys joined.
