John R. George

John R. George, 67 of Downingtown, PA passed away Tuesday June 25, 2024 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester.

He was the husband of Jo Ann M. George (Schmidt).

Born March 12, 1957 in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Wallace R. George and the late Florence Ollila George.

John grew up in West Chester, PA and graduated from Henderson High School before attending Penn State University.  He worked as a Physician Assistant for over thirty years at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA.  

He enjoyed woodworking, spending time on the water and playing with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Jo Ann, John is survived by his daughter Jaime Roberts, his son Jonathan, grandchildren Charlie, Nova and Anu, his sister Sandra Watt and his brothers Don and Pete.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380 followed by his Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and/or SHINE, which provides specialist support for spina bifida and hydrocephalus; and/or the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
