John R. Frost, Jr.

John (Jack) R. Frost Jr. , 90, of Columbia, PA passed away peacefully on Monday January 12, 2026 at the Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. 

Born July 20, 1935 in Baltimore, MD,  Jack  was the son of the late John R. Frost Sr. and the late Helen (nee Fleiner) Frost of Rosedale, MD.

Jack grew up in Rosedale, Maryland where he attended Kenwood High School, before going on to graduate from Johns Hopkins University. During his college years, he was an active member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and remained a proud member of the Alumni Association of Johns Hopkins University. John built a successful career as a brick manufacturer for Glen-Gery in York, Pennsylvania, and later worked as a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway in York, Pennsylvania. 

An avid photographer, Jack enjoyed nature and time outdoors gardening, enjoyed traveling, spending time with his grandchildren and many hours reading and listening to music. Jack had an exceptionally close relationship to his daughters, son in law, and grandchildren and was an inspiration to them, and to all who had the privilege to know him. 

He was preceded in death by his son, John R. Frost, III (Russ) and is survived by his sister, Nancy Banister, daughter, Melissa F. (Rami) Bishay, daughter, Sandra Cirone, daughter, Amy (Jonathan) Shoff, grandchildren, Laurie Yost, grandchildren, Christian R. Bishay, Corinne E. Bishay, Jack H. Bishay, Nathan Shoff, Lilia Shoff, Aiden Shoff.

Services at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc will be private. 

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jack’s name to St. Patrick’s School in Malvern, PA.
