Joan E. Heimerich

Joan E. Heimerich (Amann) living at The Hickman in West Chester, PA passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024.

Joan was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 29, 1934 to Mary E. and Eugene Amann Jr.  Joan married Henry R. Heimerich on October 13,1956.  After living for a short time in Brooklyn, NY the young couple moved to Lynbrook, NY where they raised their family.  As parents, they were very proud of their children, loving them dearly.  As grandparents, they shared much joy and laughter with their growing family.  Henry predeceased Joan in 2006.  Joan was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend, and volunteer.

Joan loved the beach, reading, traveling, and most importantly spending time with her family.  Since her early introduction to the Brooklyn Dodgers, playing at Ebbets Field, Joan was also a loyal sports fan.  Joan is survived by her children, Matthew Heimerich (Karen Tomky), Mary Beth Lopes (Joseph), Eugene H. Heimerich, Joanne Holmes (Martin), Nancy Nastro (Francis), Laura Donatello (David), ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers please honor Joan’s memory with a donation, or kind deed, to an organization that is close to your heart. Our family is extremely grateful to the staffs at The Hickman, West Chester Internal Medicine, Londyn Home Health Care, and Willow Tree Hospice for their loving care and support. 

Interment will be private and a Celebration of Life Mass will be held at a later date.
