JoAnn E. Leamy

JoAnn E. Leamy, 72 of West Chester, PA passed away Sunday July 19, 2020 at her home in West Chester.

Born December 11, 1947 in Coatesville, PA she was the daughter of the late George Frymoyer and the late Agnes Novansky Frymoyer.

JoAnn graduated High School from Scott Senior High School in Coatesville, PA.

She had worked as an Administrative Assistant for the County of Chester. 

JoAnn was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grand-children. She loved cats and always adopted from the shelter.  Her only question when she arrived was to ask, “Who had been there the longest?” Typically, she would then select that cat.  She was kind and caring for the neighborhood cats making sure they always had food and water, as well.  She learned to drive later in life, but never quite mastered the skill.  She had a great sense of humor and, even at the darkest of times, always found a way to joke and laugh.   

She is survived by daughter, Kathleen M. Mancaruso, her son, James D. Leamy, Jr. and her five grand-children; Christopher, Madeline, Lucia, Shea and Allison.

Services and Interment will be private.
