Jeff grew up in a small town in Hebron, ME, where, as a teen, he played alongside the men of the community on a Town Team, in a Town Team league. He attended Edward Little High School, in Auburn, ME, playing on the school’s baseball team.

Upon graduation, he attended University of Colorado, where he served as a graduate assistant baseball coach and earned his Master’s degree in Education.  He also briefly served as a baseball scout for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Jeff eventually returned to the state of Maine where he was head coach of the Cony High School baseball team for many years, leading them to championships and victories. He led the baseball team to back to back state championships in 1990 and 1991.   He also served as the head coach of the Cony girls soccer team, leading them to their only victory.

Jeff's journey next led him to join the Frederick Gunn School, a prestigious college preparatory school, in Washington, CT.  There, he served as the head baseball coach and taught science.
