James B. Brice, Jr., 65 of West Chester, PA passed away Tuesday September 16, 2025 at his home.
Born August 23, 1960 in West Chester, PA he was the son of the late James B. Brice and the late Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Brice (Martin).
Jim as he was known by his friends grew up in West Chester and graduated Class of 1978 from West Chester East High School.
He recently retired from A. Duie Pyle after 41 years of service. He started his career with A. Duie Pyle working the loading docks, working his way through several dock assignments to truck yard jockey where he would assign and move tractors for cargo loading. He was known to his coworkers for his many conversations about hunting, fishing and NASCAR
Jim was a member of many organizations, he was a life member of the 1st West Chester Fire Company and Fame Fire Company, he was also a member of the Goodwill Fire Company. In earlier years Jim was an active member of Good Fellowship Ambulance Club.
Jim was an active member of West Chester VFW Post 106, St. Anthony's Lodge Downingtown, American Legion Dushore Pa, as well as Monroeton Rod and Gun Club Towanda Pa. and the Cornog Trout Club Glenmore. Pa.
Jim had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time trout fishing the Brandywine Creek and fishing with his friends at the Cornog Trout Club. He was also an avid hunter and spent many hours pursuing his passion for hunting.
James is survived by his brother, Martin B. Brice, Downingtown and nephew Douglas Brice Lansdale, as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitations on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, and on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc.; 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380; followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Interment will be in Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery West Chester PA.
