James Francis McCabe

James Francis McCabe passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from complications from skin cancer. He was surrounded by friends and family.

Jimmy was born in Oceanside, New York on May 2, 1976.

He was a graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School and a graduate of SUNY Maritime where he earned his Third Mate License.

After college, Jimmy sailed through high seas on various oil tankers all over the world. After being out to sea for many years, Jimmy made the natural progression from being third mate on an oil tanker to becoming an actor. He began his professional acting career at Media Play House and received critical acclaim from the Philadelphia Inquirer. He then focused his career on voice acting where he voiced multiple national commercials and was the voice narrator of a documentary series that aired on ESPN.

Jimmy was always known for his truly amazing sense of humor and for being a loving brother, son, uncle, and friend.

Jimmy is survived by his mother Dorothy Kennedy, brother Ryan McCabe, sister-in-law Jessica McCabe, niece Laura McCabe, and nephew Jim McCabe.

Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 4pm – 7pm at Teca Restaurant Mezzanine 38 E. Gay St. West Chester, PA 19380

Interment will be private.
