Jake Thomas Powers

Jake Thomas Powers passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday February 7, 2025.  Jake was born on January 7, 2003, in West Chester, PA. He was the beloved son of Keith and Deborah Comeskey Powers and the cherished brother of Anna. 

Jake had a myriad of complex health conditions but those did not define him. He had a keen sense of humor and loved to joke in his own special way.  He loved being with his friends, going on trips, and hanging out at the firepit. He loved music, watching movies, watching football with his dad, and watching his sister play soccer and field hockey.

He attended the Arc of Chester County, HMS School for Children with Cerebral Palsy, and the CCIU Child and Career Development Center from which he graduated in June of 2024. Jake enjoyed going to school and made many wonderful friends. He was adored by his teachers and received amazing care from all the nurses that worked with him over the years at school and at home.

Jake taught us so much about what was important in life. He was loved and treasured beyond measure. Jake was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Catherine McAllister Comeskey and his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Elizabeth Brennan Powers and his uncle Thomas Powers.

Jake is survived by his parents, his sister, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. He will be missed terribly by all who loved him.
