J. Mark Mackey

J. Mark Mackey of West Chester.

J. Mark Mackey, 73 of West Chester, PA died Wednesday July 21, 2021 at his home. 

He was the husband of Anna Wegel Mackey.

Born June 22, 1948 in West Chester, PA he was the son of the late Joseph Hadley Mackey and the late Virginia Kathryn Laffey Mackey.

Mark was a graduate of Unionville Elementary and Unionville High School where he excelled in basketball. After graduating high school, Mark earned his bachelor’s degree from West Chester University. 

Mark worked as a Financial Advisor for the Equitable for 35 years and loved his job. He was an avid gardener and a motorcycle enthusiast. Mark's true joy was playing golf and was a member of 35 years at Radley Run Country Club. 

Mark is survived by his wife, Anna Mackey, children: Mark Steven Mackey and his wife Amy, Marcia Lyn Mackey, Michael John Bradly and his wife Dawn, Joseph Christopher Mackey and his wife Sarah, grandchildren; Keegan, Ellie, Reese, Sophia, Kaia, Bowman, Meghan and Conner, and a sister, Lorrie Ditz.

He was preceded in death by brother, John "Jake" Myron Mackey. 

Mark was loved and respected by so many. He will be deeply missed and live forever in our hearts.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the St. Malachi Church, 76 St. Malachi Road Cochranville PA 19330, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. 

Interment will be in Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery West Chester PA.
