Howard Robert Shupard

Howard Robert Shupard, 83, peacefully passed away on November 14, 2023, in West Chester, PA. Born to the late Ralph Raymond Shupard Jr. and the late Marguerite Lillian Maule in Broomall, PA.  Howard was a devoted husband to Tacie Shupard (1945-2016) for 49 joy-filled years.

In the 1960s, Howard proudly served on the USS Beatty with the US Navy and was an unwavering provider for his family throughout his life. Renowned for his handiness; if Howard couldn't fix something, it simply couldn't be fixed. Beyond his skilled craftsmanship, he was also an enthusiastic sportsman and a captivating storyteller.  If Howard was not fishing or hunting, he was telling stories about fishing and hunting.

Survived by his sons Keith Robert Shupard and Daniel Spencer Shupard (Dolores), grandson Ryan Jameson Shupard, along with brothers Arthur Shupard (Martha) and Ralph Shupard III, sister-in-law Juanita Rucker and his many nieces and nephews, Howard leaves behind a legacy of love and shared memories. He is predeceased by his brother Elwood Shupard (late Kathryn) and sister-in-law Sandra Shupard.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during his visitation on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., located at 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380. The Funeral Service will commence at 11:00 am.

While interment will be private, the family suggests honoring Howard's memory through donations and support to the Coatesville VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320 and by extending assistance to active military, police, and firefighters in your local community in lieu of flowers.
