Obituary
Herman S. White Jr., 87 of Downingtown, PA passed away Tuesday March 26, 2024, at the St. Martha’s Manor in Downingtown.
He was the husband of Lila M. (Thomsen) White.
Born January 4, 1937, in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Herman S. White Sr. and the late Dorothy Burt White.
Herman grew up in the Feltonville area of Chester Township, PA. He attended Eddystone High School and graduated from Chester High School.
He worked for 40+ years as an Inspector for companies such as Boeing, Lenape Forge, and Sun Ship Company.
He enjoyed watching Westerns and Lawrence Welk, cooking, playing card games, drinking bourbon, and golfing in his younger years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Karen Orlando and her husband Joseph, Jeffrey White and his wife Lauren, grandchildren, Tara Orlando, Benjamin White, and Lindsay White. He is also survived by his sisters Hermie McCrae and Beverly Carpenter.
Services and interment will be private.
