Helen W. Hartman

Helen W. Hartman, age 87, of West Chester, PA died at home on Friday, September 17, 2021. 

She was the wife of the late Harold H. Hartman.

She is survived by her son David Hartman of West Chester, PA, daughter Joyce Fiorentino of Westfield, MA and her husband Peter, her grandsons James, Michael, his fiancé Leah, and Peter.

Helen was a mail carrier for 35 years. She also worked at several local restaurants including the Concord Country Club.  After her retirement she volunteered for 20 years at the Chester County Hospital.

Helen had a larger than life personality. She loved people, could talk to anyone, and had a special connection with those whom others considered different. She was not afraid to stand up for what she thought was right.

Our family is forever grateful to her dedicated caregivers. Their loving care allowed her to die peacefully in her own home.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation, Thursday September 30, 2021, from 10-10:45am at the St. Agnes Church 233 West Gay St. West Chester, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment will be at the Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA.
