Harry Morjigian, Jr.

Harry Morjigian Jr., 98 of Wilmington, DE passed away Wednesday October 1, 2025 at his home in Wilmington.

He was the husband of Maria Morjigian (Ohanian).

Born December 3, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Sharam Morjigian and the late Kayane Boyajian Morjigian.

Harry was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from West Philadelphia High School. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 18 and was deployed overseas to France towards the end of World War II.  He attended Temple University pursuing a degree in Physics.

In March of 1965, he met his future wife Maria Ohanian and married on December 4th of that same year. Eight years later, in 1973, he and Maria embarked on a 43 year venture as Restaurant Owners in Upper Darby, PA until their retirement.

Harry was a member of St. Gregory the Illuminator church as well as the Delaware County Rotary Club.

In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by his sister Agnes Bedrosian, daughter Melanie Robson, son, Harry Morjigian III, grandchildren Brandon W. Hanrahan, Ryan F. Hanrahan, Sophie Morjigian, Leonardo Morjigian, and Great Grandchild Alice E. Hanrahan.

He was preceded in death by his sister Araxy Tatarian.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at Saint Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church 8701 Ridge Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19128, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 am.

Interment will be in West Laurel Hill Cemetery Bala Cynwyd PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Gregory Illuminator Armenian Church 8701 Ridge Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19128.
