Obituary
Harold Lee Skelton, Ph.D, 82 of West Chester, PA died peacefully at home on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from pancreatic cancer.
Born July 10, 1940 in Springfield, IL, Harold was the son of the late Jesse Harold Skelton and Theotis Hostick Skelton.
Harold grew up in Springfield. He received BS/Physics from Case Institute of Technology and PhD/Physics from University of Delaware. He was particularly interested in General Relativity.
Dr. Harold Skelton devoted 37 years to West Chester University as Professor and Physics Department Chairman. He loved teaching students physics.
Harold was a member of American Physical Society and Sigma Pi Sigma.
Harold is survived by wife Maruta Skelton (Purvins), children Marit Skelton and Niels Skelton, grandchildren Erika P. Raven and Sophie Skelton, and great grand daughter Mari Louise Veraart.
He was greatly loved.
