Gregory J. Iacobone

Gregory J. Iacobone, 66 of Downingtown, PA passed away Friday May 31, 2024 at his home in Downingtown, PA.

He was the beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Smith) Iacobone.  They would have celebrated their 44th Anniversary on June 28th.

Born July 27, 1957 in Delaware County, PA he was the son of the late Arthur Iacobone and the late Donna (Sweeney) Iacobone.

Greg grew up in West Chester, PA and graduated in the first graduating class from East High School in 1975 where he was part of the track team.  Greg also played baseball during his childhood with his father as the coach. Growing up Greg and his family enjoyed their many camping trips together.     

He worked as a Machinist for many years until he became a School Bus driver where he drove for several different school districts in the Chester County area.

During their early years of marriage Greg and Peggy enjoyed vacationing in Wildwood, NJ and bowling on leagues at Goshen Lanes. Greg loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, often taking long rides, enjoying the scenery with his buddies. He then became a member of the Moose Lodge in Downingtown, PA where he enjoyed spending time and meeting new friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Kathie (Rick) Redmond, brother, Bryon Iacobone, sister, Donna (Eric) Miller, and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Donna Iacobone.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:15 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380; followed by his Graveside Service at 12:00 pm Green Mount Cemetery 117 Westtown Road West Chester PA 19382

Interment will be in Green Mount Cemetery West Chester, PA.
