Gerard J. McGlone, Sr.

Gerard J. McGlone Sr., 81 of West Chester, PA passed away Tuesday October 7, 2025, at home.

He was the husband of the late Kathleen McGlone and the late Elizabeth McGlone.

Born September 19, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late John McGlone and the late Josephine I. (Ivers) McGlone.

Gerry grew up in the Overbrook neighborhood of Philadelphia and later in Drexel Hill, PA.  He graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School and attended Temple University for some time before leaving to raise his family. 

He worked in sales for Church Mutual Insurance Company where he retired after 30 plus years. 

Gerry enjoyed golfing, international travel, Notre Dame football, College Basketball, keeping a pristine lawn, and attending his grandchildren’s events as much as possible. 

Gerard is survived by his sons, Gerard J. McGlone, Jr. of West Chester, PA, Sean P. McGlone (Patty) of Honeybrook, PA and Chris McGlone (Kim) of Doylestown, PA as well as his nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brother John McGlone and sister Josephine Keenan

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 10:00 am – 10:45 at St. Agnes Church 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA 19380, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester PA.
