Gerald P. Linette

Gerald P. Linette, 94 of West Chester, PA. passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at Paoli Hospital.

Jerry was the devoted husband of Mary B. Linette who passed away at age 72 in 2002.

He is survived by his children, Dr. Gerald Linette, Jr (Beatriz Carreno), Gladwyne PA, Margaret Gallagher (Neil), Haverford PA and John Linette (Elizabeth Cronin), Annapolis MD and grandchildren Jane Gallagher, Chip Gallagher and John Linette, Jr in addition to his many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was a 1951 graduate of Villanova University and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. A CFA charterholder, he worked as an Investment Banker in Philadelphia and New York for several firms. He was a long-time resident of Merion Station, PA. and after retirement, settled in West Chester.

He was a faithful parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Overbrook and most recently, Saints Peter and Paul Parish in West Chester. He will be deeply missed by his family.

The family wishes to express their immense gratitude to the health care providers from the Coatesville VA Medical Center, Home Instead Senior Care and Paoli Hospital for their compassionate care.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10:00 – 10:45 am at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 1325 E. Boot Road, West Chester Pa. 19380 followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00am. 

Interment will be at St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
