Gail Sokoloski Obituary

Gail Sokoloski, 88, of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Thursday January 4, 2024.

She was the wife of the late Theodore Sokoloski.

Born July 11, 1935 in Norway, MI she was the daughter of the late Raymond Plourde and the late Carmela Lovato Plourde.

Gail grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She earned her undergraduate studies degree from Michigan State University and her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.

Gail was a parishioner of the SS. Peter & Paul Church in West Chester for many years.

She is survived by her children, Mary Sokoloski (Richard Kardon,) Steven Sokoloski (Denise) and Catherine Sokoloski (Richard Pickup); grandchildren, Elena, Sophia, and John Sokoloski and  sister, Margaret Hall (Grover.)

She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Meagher.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass, 11am on Friday January 12, 2024, at the SS. Peter & Paul Church 1325 E. Boot Rd. West Chester PA 19380. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the University of Wisconsin Foundation School of Pharmacy Fund and the Brandywine Valley SPCA in her name.
