Francesco Valentino

Francesco Valentino, 83 of Millsboro, DE passed away Wednesday March 19, 2025 at the TidalHealth Hospital in Salisbury, MD.

He was the husband of Anita K. Lyon Valentino.

Born June 6, 1941, in West Chester, PA he was the son of the late Joseph Valentino and the late Philameno DiBartolomeo Valentino.

Francesco grew up in West Chester, PA and graduated from West Chester High School in 1959.

He worked most recently as a Truck Driver for Allan Myers and other companies over the years.

Francesco was a member of Good Will Fire Company in West Chester, Minquas Fire Company in Downingtown and American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro, DE.

He enjoyed hunting with his brother, cousins and nephews, deep sea fishing and surf fishing with his daughters, gardening and traveling with his wife, and mostly time spent with his Italian family.

Military active duty spent in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964 as an airplane mechanic, stationed in the United States, Germany and Vietnam during the Vietnam War, received an Armed Forces Expeditionary Award.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Jodi Valentino and Amy Valentino, siblings Joseph J. Valentino and Anna Valentino Bannan.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am followed immediately by a religious service at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-118, www.DellaFH.com. Interment with military honors will be held privately in Delaware.
