Fern Ellen McBride

Fern Ellen McBride, 78, of Pottstown, PA died peacefully at home with her daughter on Thursday June 10, 2021.

Born January 10, 1943, in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mark Francis McCue, Jr. and the late Dorothy Ellen Paup McCue.

She was formerly married to Alvin J. McBride Jr.

Fern graduated from West Chester Joint High School in 1960.  She lived and worked in the West Chester and Exton, PA area for most of her life.  She worked as a secretary, planner, scheduler, and buyer for several local organizations such as National Foam Inc., Chester County Health Department, Litton Industries, Harowe Servo and A. Duie Pyle Company.

Passionate about animal welfare, after retirement Fern spent several years volunteering at the Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines.  She was also a member of North Shore Animal League. Some of her hobbies included ceramics, embroidery, and gardening.  She also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.

She is survived by her daughter, Joelle J. Temoyan, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark “Ted” F.  McCue III. 

Services and interment will be private at Oaklands Cemetery.
