Faith (Susie) Cobb Morrison

On May 29, 2023, Faith Cobb Morrison passed away at the age of 90.  She died in hospice care from complications of a recent stroke.

She is the only surviving child of Josephine Gould Robinson and Lee Morgan Robinson. Born and raised in Fox Hall Village in Washington, DC. She attended St. Mary’s School in Raleigh, NC and Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. 

She married John Morrison from Oswego, NY in 1953 and moved to Bethesda, MD where they lived for over 50 years. In 2013 John died, and she moved to Kendal at Longwood, a retirement community in Chester County, PA and she lived there until her death.

Susie was active in her community - she was the president of the Sumner Garden Club, headed the St. Dunstan’s Alter Guild, and her community outreach including feeding the homeless.  She had multiple artistic interests including drawing, gardening, needlepointing, knitting and stained glass. She was an animal lover and a wonderful pet parent to her many dogs, cats, and birds.

Susie loved ones preceding her in death include her husband, John and her sisters, Jo Walbaum of Santiago, Chile and Ditty King of Lutherville, Maryland.

She is survived by her four children, Jody Theakos (Jim Theakos) of Englewood FL, John Morrison of Bradenton, FL, Steve Morrison of Chicago, IL, and Kate Morrison- Teeter (Darren Teeter) of West Chester, PA.  She is also survived by her three grandchildren:  Ben Teeter of Denver, CO, Anna Teeter of Arlington, VA, and Dylan Teeter of Arlington, VA, her cousin Jo Walker of Foulkeways at Gwynedd, and numerous nieces and nephews living throughout the country and abroad.

Arrangements will be made for a private ceremony at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Bethesda, MD. 

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, family and friends make a small donation to their favorite charity.
