Elva M. Andrews

Elva M. Andrews, 98 of West Chester, PA died Friday May 24, 2024 at Wellington at Hershey's Mill in West Chester, PA.

She was the wife of the late Eugene D. Andrews.

Born August 23, 1925 in Tams, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alfonso Martiner and the late Anedina Rosazza Martiner.

Elva grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Westinghouse High School.  She lived with her husband and family in Wexford, PA for many years before relocating to the West Chester, PA area in 1974.  She was a member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Warrendale, PA and later as a member of Church of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in West Chester, PA.

Elva enjoyed raising her four children and attending all activities of her children and grandchildren.  She was a regular visitor at all of her children’s homes.  She loved going to Myrtle Beach, SC with her family and spent many hours walking the beach looking for sea shells.  Playing bridge and solitaire was a favorite pastime along with knitting blankets for everyone. 

She is survived by her sons, David Andrews (Angie), Jeffrey Andrews (Peg), Douglas Andrews (late Tina) and daughter, Janet Koenig (Chris). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three sisters. 

Services and interment will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Monroeville, PA at a later date.
