Elizabeth ‘Bunnie’ A. Nappi (nee. Davis) peacefully joined the Blessed Mother and Jesus on December 22, 2020.
Bunnie is survived by her children Richard, Veronica Zambito(Chris) and David(Angie), and their father Richard Nappi. She was a doting Grandmother of Regina, Michelle, Christopher, Dante, Todd, Elizabeth, Tristen and Talia.
Born in Philadelphia in 1933, Bunnie was the youngest of 6 children growing up on 71 St. in West Philadelphia. A graduate of West Catholic Girl’s High School in 1951, Bunnie was employed at General Electric in her early working career prior to marrying Richard Nappi in 1952. As her 3 children grew into teenagers, Bunnie openly accepted the additional responsibility for being the sole caregiver for both her Mother and older sister until their own passing.
Bunnie resumed her working career at the Philadelphia Airport before settling down as a manager at the Bryn Mawr Hospital Gift Shop until her retirement. During this time, her children married and Bunnie’s family circle extended out to include Veronica’s husband Chris Zambito and David’s wife Angie.
A devout fan of the Blessed Mother, Bunnie was a formidable presence as the matriarch of the Nappi family, freely and frequently sharing her Motherly advice in a loving Grandmotherly way to her 3 children and her 8 grandchildren.
After retiring, Bunnie lived with her daughter’s growing family in the West Chester Area. During this time, Bunnie became very active in St. Max’s church, extending out her Christian cheer to many new-found friends. She regularly attended daily mass and frequently shared conversation with the former pastor, Monsignor Carroll. Outside of the Church, she was a big fan of the Phillies, the Eagles, John Wayne and Mister Monk, watching as many games and shows as she could.
She never wanted to impose upon anyone, especially her family, regardless of the inconvenience to herself. Her last days were peaceful, and her children along with their spouses were present at the time when Bunnie was called to Heaven to reunite with her Mom, Dad, Sisters, Brothers, and all the people that she befriended throughout her full life.
There will probably be a couple of changes in Heaven now that you are there.
Rest in Peace and happiness with God, Bunnie.
