Elizabeth (Betsy) Galbraith Mosteller, age 88, born November 23, 1933, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at her home in West Chester surrounded by family. Betsy was the wife of the late James (Jay) Mosteller with whom she was married for 49 years and the daughter of the late Kirkpatrick and Elizabeth Galbraith.
Betsy was a member of the United Methodist Church of West Chester, West Chester Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the West Chester Exchange Club. Betsy worked for the Chester County Intermediate Unit for 28 years and retired at the age of 65, however continued to work part-time until the age of 72.
Betsy enjoyed traveling with Jay to his Exchange Club Conventions, in particular Puerto Rico. After Jay passed, she continued to travel with her daughter Cindy. One of her favorite trips with her was to Hawaii. Besides traveling, Betsy spent her retirement years, doing Exchange Club community-service projects, tending to her manicured lawn and gardens, and spending time with her granddaughter, Nicole.
Betsy was proceeded in death by one sister, Mary Williams. She is survived by one sister, Patricia Dunlap; her three daughters, Lynda M. Lehing (Andrew), Sharon M. Burke, Cindy L. Mosteller; and her granddaughter, Nicole Burke.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at West Chester United Methodist Church 129 S. High St. West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Interment will be at the Green Mount Cemetery.
