Edna F. Werwinski (Welsh) passed away peacefully at her home in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at age 87 surrounded by the love of her family.
Born October 27, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to Edna F. (McCann) and William J. Welsh.
Edna was known for her fierce love of and dedication to family. She married the love of her life, Bob, in July of 1963 beginning a beautiful partnership that spanned over six decades, raising four children and welcoming ten grandchildren along the way. She was their greatest advocate and most enthusiastic cheerleader. Whether celebrating a major milestone or offering quiet encouragement, her presence was a constant source of comfort and pride. She had a rare gift for making everyone who knew her feel welcomed, valued, cherished.
Edna was predeceased by her parents and her brothers John and William Welsh.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert N. Werwinski, Sr., devoted children Robert N. Werwinski, Jr (Elizabeth) Edna F. Werwinski, Jacqueline M. Maloney (Frank) and Carolyn F. Longenderfer (Matthew); loving grandchildren Robert, Michael, Thomas, John, Katherine, Lauren, Riley, Jacqueline, Emily and Madison; her sisters Helen Landy and Jane Welsh and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Friday May 8, 2026 at 10:00am at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am.
Interment will take place at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA
